Members, and friends, of the Wisconsin Poet laureate Commission (WPLC) are scheduled to read in the Woodland Pattern Poetry Marathon, from 4-5 PM on Jan. 25, 2025 at the Saint Kate: Arts Hotel: 139 E Kilbourn Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202. The Woodland Pattern Poetry Marathon is an annual event that allows the WPLC an opportunity to showcase the work of members of the commission and to pass the torch from our outgoing poet laureate, Nicholas Gulig, to our incoming poet laureate, Brenda Cardenas.
